Cluvon Privacy Notice

1. Reading and local storage

Cluvon downloads article lists and article content from cluvon.com over HTTPS. No Cluvon account is required for free reading. Some versions offer an optional email-and-password account for checking or restoring Pro access; older versions may have no account controls. Reading preferences, language, theme, text size, saved articles and reading history are stored in the app's private storage on your device. We do not upload that reading library to a Cluvon account or use it to target advertising. The app does not request your contacts, calendar, camera, microphone or precise device location.

2. Advertising and consent

Free versions include Google AdMob banner and occasional interstitial advertising. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may process device identifiers, IP address (which can indicate approximate location), app and advertising interactions, diagnostic and performance information for ad delivery, measurement, security and fraud prevention. This policy therefore does not describe the app as collecting no data or containing no advertising SDK.

Google's User Messaging Platform presents consent choices where required. You can review available choices through Settings → Ad privacy options. On iOS, the app requests App Tracking Transparency permission before initializing advertising; you can decline and continue reading. The iOS app requests non-personalized ads. Non-personalized ads can still involve the operational data described above. Pro users do not receive advertising while the store verifies an active subscription. There is no separate Cluvon analytics SDK in the app.

For Google's processing and controls, see Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from apps. You may also adjust advertising privacy controls in your device settings. Declining tracking does not prevent access to the reader.

3. Annual Pro purchases

Where offered, the annual Cluvon Pro subscription is purchased through Google Play in the Google Play version on Android or Apple's in-app purchase system in the iOS version. The store handles payment and purchase history. Cluvon does not receive your payment card details. The app uses store entitlement information to determine access and expiry; iOS verifies StoreKit transactions on the device. Restore eligible purchases with the Restore purchase button. The current local price, renewal terms and subscription management options are available before purchase. Cancel through your store subscription settings; cancellation and refund processing are governed by that store.

If an Amazon Appstore version offers Pro, it may use Amazon In-App Purchasing. To check or restore Pro access in that version, the app sends the Amazon user identifier, purchase receipt identifiers, package identifier and product identifier to Draconis's purchase-verification service, hosted by Cloudflare. The service checks receipts with Amazon's Receipt Verification Service (RVS) and receives purchase/subscription status; the app uses the returned status to determine Pro access. Amazon processes payment; the app does not receive full card details. Price and renewal terms, where offered, are shown before purchase. Manage or cancel through the store where you purchased.

4. Service requests and external websites

Requests to our servers and CDN can produce operational access logs containing IP address, request address, time and User-Agent. We use those records to deliver and secure the service, troubleshoot errors and meet legal obligations, and retain them only as needed for those purposes. Article reading does not load the website's Google AdSense or website analytics code into the app reader. If you choose to open an external website in your browser, that website's privacy and cookie rules apply.

5. Deletion, choices and contact

You can clear saved articles and reading history using the app controls. Removing the app removes its local data from that installation, but does not delete an online account or files held in device backups; Android also provides a Clear storage control in system settings. Store purchase records and advertising-provider records are managed by those providers. For access, correction, deletion, objection or other applicable privacy rights concerning information we hold, contact info@draconisinfrastructure.com. We will assess your request under applicable law; we do not require an app account to accept a request.

6. Optional Cluvon account

In versions that offer an account, you choose an email address and password. Google Firebase Authentication processes those credentials to create and secure your account. Account information includes your email address, account identifier, email-verification status and authentication activity; Google may also process connection and device information for authentication and abuse prevention. We use the account to identify you when checking Pro access, not to upload your saved articles or reading history. Your password is sent securely to Firebase and is not sent to our payment service.

Creating an account or signing in does not automatically send a verification email. Use the verification or password-reset button to request the corresponding email. Verify your email address before using account-based Pro access. The Android 1.2.5 release (version code 11) stores Firebase session data, including authentication tokens, in the app’s private files so sign-in can be restored after a restart. The app does not separately save your password. Account access is enabled only after online validation; while offline or after a temporary validation failure, free reading remains available and you can retry account validation when connected. This release’s Android configuration excludes authentication session files from backup and device transfer. Signing out clears the local Firebase session without deleting the online account. Older releases may require you to sign in again after restarting. Pro purchases and subscription activation are unavailable in Android 1.2.5 (version code 11).

7. Account deletion and subscription access

In the account screen, choose Request account deletion, enter your current password and confirm the warning. After Firebase confirms deletion, the login account is removed and that account can no longer be used to sign in. If you use the same sign-in in another Draconis app, deleting it may also prevent you from signing in there; contact us first if you are unsure. This does not automatically erase separate billing records, service logs, support correspondence or local reading data. A new account, even with the same email address, does not automatically inherit the deleted account's Pro access.

Deleting the login does not cancel a subscription or issue a refund. Manage a store subscription through the store where you purchased it. For a subscription purchased directly from Draconis, use the subscription-management option where available, or contact us before deleting your login if you need help retaining access or cancelling renewal. 8. Direct purchases, where available

A version offering direct Draconis purchases opens a separate payment page in your browser. Stripe processes the payment details. Draconis receives the customer, subscription, transaction and payment-status information needed to provide Pro, manage billing and handle legal or fraud-related matters; the app does not receive your full card number. We link the payment customer and subscription to your account so access can be checked. Direct sales are not available in every version; the checkout page, where offered, shows the price and renewal terms before you decide to buy.

9. Retention and privacy requests

The login account remains with Firebase until it is deleted. Other records have separate purposes: support messages allow us to handle your enquiry, operational logs help secure and troubleshoot the service, and billing records may be needed for subscriptions, tax, accounting, fraud prevention or legal claims. Deleting the login does not start an automatic purge of those records. Contact info@draconisinfrastructure.com to request deletion of information held by Draconis, including account-related billing links. We assess the scope of your request, verify ownership as needed and explain any records we must retain under applicable law. Do not send your password or full card details.

10. Audience and changes

Cluvon is a general-audience publication and is not designed specifically for children. Contact us about suspected collection involving a child. We update this policy and the relevant store disclosures when processing changes. This page covers features only in the versions that offer them. The app's policy differs from the website privacy policy.
